Aug 26th , 2008: New Disastroid write-up in Little Book: DISASTROID "I solemnly swear to do righteous battle against this wasteland of consumerist apathy" Heavy, dark and moody, just like the Bay Area fog that makes summer feel like winter and a flannel shirt a must. Minutemen style punk with original & cutting vocals bring it all together, this Frisco trio can groove or blast depending on how they feel or where the music takes them. Aug 12th , 2008: Anti music - pithy review: "Disastroid: 3 stars: What a bizarre little punk/funk/blues jam. The five tracks on the Disastroid EP include a number of influences, but it is unclear why they are there. On the first song, "Broken," the band seems to dumb it down into plain-Jane territory. They redeem themselves later but it is hard not to think Disastroid is not playing it safe. They could be a better band, a smarter band. I would like to see more of that."

June 17 , 2008: Attention friends and families of Disastroid: It has been a short eternity since we last spoke. Yes we do apologize that we have not contacted you or told you our whereabouts. We have been deep inside the earth creating new music, perfecting old classics, and injecting them with our new bass player's sound. The rock gods have also tested our strength and courage by striking our vision and cracking our teeth but once again we have persevered and now we challenge them to a draw at 12 galaxies on July 11th. Please be patient our friends we are working on our masterpiece to share with you soon. We look forward to rocking for you and with you again.

April 23 , 2008: You may have noticed that it's been pretty quiet on the Disastroid front as of late. Here's the deal: we have parted ways with long-time bass player Dave Kearney, and are working on getting a new bass player up to speed. We wish Dave the best, and still love him. We've also had some label interest recently, and are hoping for the bidding wars to begin! stay tuned for updates

Jan 30, 2008: Much has happened since the last Disastroid news update. We violated North-Beach in SF with our noisy noises. We drove to Hollywood in the new Disastroid-Previa-Van-Tour-Bus and had our way with the Cat Club (watch video). We surgically removed and re-attached ear-holes at El Rio in SF (watch video)... and had our first very own web-cast straight outta the East Bay (watch video) and want to extend a huge thank-you to our studio audience whose laughter made it very special for all of us here in the Disastroids. We've also; been shoe-shopping, had hair-cuts, made new shirts & stickers, decided to run for president. Oh yeah... we've actually started mixing some new songs - so stay tuned for the heaviest Disastroid songs yet. -- chad --
Nov 14, 2007: November - ahhh, the smell of gluttony, and I love it. First off we have encountered a slight delay in our new album - room switcharoo at Hyde has left us in limbo waiting for rich parents to adopt us so we can afford to keep recording. Until then I guess we will play for pizza and beer. The Catalyst, Atrium - Santa Cruz - (Watch Video) you missed it and you missed our pepperoni pizza. Oh yeah - we rocked the El Rincon in SF. (Watch Video) Thanks to the small crowd freaking out at the end of our set. We felt like rock stars on a Tuesday night. That should be a song. Dec 1st - you have nowhere to be except the Peacock Lounge (lower Haight in SF). Disastroid will be opening for Spandex Tiger. They are having a CD Release Party, and they are a blast - even if you hate music and fun. See you soon... I can feel you reading me. --Enver--
Oct 28 , 2007: Holy Crap... we played at the coolest Halloween party last night in San Francisco! Decked out in mint-green tuxedos with ruffled shirts and silver bow-ties - Disastroid rocked the crowd with 2 full sets of mind-blowing plug-your-ears mayhem. check out video of the 2nd set. Big thanks to members of The Here for their Devo set... their extended version of whip it really... um... whipped it. stay tuned for video and photos from the party. On the recording front: Enver finished up his guitar tracks for our new CD, and I'm about halfway done with percussion overdubs. check out the Disastroid Virtual Mixer to listen and mix individual scratch-tracks from the sessions. Dave has purchased some new bass cabinets... so ladies - if you suddenly feel overcome with sexual energy - you can personally thank Dave after the show.

Oct 20 , 2007: Dentists are weird:I dont like to go the dentist because I'm uncomfortable having a stranger stick cold metal objects into my mouth. As my mini-revenge against any weirdo who choose this profession, whenever I go to a dentist, I like to eat a lot of garlic the night before. I dine with frenzy upon said zesty vegetable and purposefully neglect to brush my teeth. Immediately following this, I drink a small glass of milk, so that the fermentation process begins and peaks during my sleeping hours. Then, in the morn, I snack on approximately three oreo cookies, leaving the blackened mess upon my chompers. Without any milk rinse, the oreo debris forms a nice plaster-of-paris goop that is just pure hell to look at, as well as stinky. Everybody knew that kid in school who had permanent oreo mouth, yet no one had the heart to tell him it was gross--we just quietly ostracized him from the pack. Anyway, old habits die hard, and most dentists upon crossing the treshold of my garbage-can cavity-pie-hole have almost no reaction. They just politely do their job. Dentists are weird. And now... a treatise on Take 5 candy bars: Take 5 is the best candy bar on earth. You know why? Because it combines the very best snack foods into one deliciously compact and balanced confectionary delight. Chocolate, pretzels, caramel, peanut butter, and peanuts. Something salty, and something sweet in every universe-shaking bite. We like Take 5 candy bars. --Dave--
Sept 23, 2007: Well folks, if you weren't at the Caravan you missed a damn good show with Spandex Tiger and The Here - but you may still have a chance to redeem yourself on October 3rd at the Red Devil Lounge - $3 for three bands - hey even if you don't like live music 3 bucks isn't a bad price to hang at a cool bar. Beyond this Disastroid is currently working on a Full length album at Hyde street Studios. We made peace with the ghosts and they let us record with no trouble this time. Our EP should be coming out any day now so keep your eyes open.

August 21, 2007: Disastroid is very sorry to report that all of the material recorded last weekend fell victim to an evil hard-drive that refuses to cooperate with any known computer device available at this point in time. We've re-scheduled more studio time at Hyde Street Studios in September so we can re-create the magic. (side note: Joe Satriani was in the studio down the hall from us while we were recording... then all the sudden our files were 'mysteriously sabotaged'... very suspicious if you ask us.

August 18, 2007: Disastroid will be camping out in Studio D at Hyde Street Studios this weekend recording a few new tunes. We spent all day yesterday getting tones, and damn my drums sound good. all i have to say is 18 inputs for a four-piece drum-kit. damn! Stay tuned for some new recordings... soon.
